(Sioux Falls, SD) – Sanford Clinic Vermillion announced today it will offer The Heart Screen at Sanford from April 7 - 9. The Heart Screen includes an EKG, blood pressure check, heart score CT and lipid panel. This screening is designed to discover cardiovascular disease and its risk factors.
The screening will take place in a specially designed mobile unit located next to Sanford Clinic Vermillion on Plum Street.
"Early diagnosis and preventive therapy should be considered the standard of care for heart disease," stated Tom Stys, MD, Cardiology Medical Director with Sanford. "It is a very treatable and preventable disease as long as it is identified in its early stages, so we're pleased to be back in Vermillion and make The Heart Screen at Sanford available to more people in the area."
