Dr. Famestad received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Michigan State University Affiliated Hospitals at Lansing, MI. Dr. Famestad completed a fellowship at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

In his spare time, Dr. Famestad enjoys going to the lake, likes Arabian horses, and is a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
