Sanford Arts Vermillion

The arts programming of Sanford Arts Vermillion (SAV) is designed to support wellness for residents, patients, staff, families and volunteers at the Sanford Vermillion Medical Center (SVMC).

Since 2013, arts programming -designed for residents of Sanford’s long term care facility- has supported positive changes in the workplace. Art making opportunities are offered as “mini-breaks” and provides creative ways to uplift the workplace culture. SAV applies visual arts, music, literary, contemplative and movement modalities to serve the broadest range of interests and abilities among the participants. Dakota Hospital Foundation is proud to provide the first year funding to make this program possible. SAV is the beneficiary of DHF’s annual wreath auction and tree of lights fundraising events.
